Sometimes my layers aren't functional… a scarf is added for
some color or a denim jacket for a finishing touch. Today my layers are completely
functional. My tights layered with a
sweater dress layered with a shirt and then a jacket was all necessary. I love it when function and fashion come
together… which is pretty much the
theory behind the fanny pack ;)

Hehe I know what you mean! Sometimes I have to wear something that I can move around more easily in at work if we're installing a new art exhibit, but if I'm just sitting around retouching all day, I can wear whatever. Layering is definitely going to become a daily occurence for me in the next few months :P Btw, love your subtle pattern mixing!

Yes, especially here in MN, sometimes we have to wear things that are fashionable and functional. And I love your jacket and scarf! They are stylish, but if they keep you warm that is even better!
What a cute trench coat! It's always hilarious when you see someone wearing a fanny pack. They clearly didn't get the memo that they're not cute.

LOVE your layering! And don't you hate that... that's the part that sucks sometimes when I pick out an outfit the night before (which rarely happens) it looks cute off but once I put all the layers on its like I'm doing the robot dance because the layers just don't work together functionally at least ;) I LOVE this jacket! Target you say... I must go investigate ;) :)
Joe and I went to Minnetonka Orchards in Mound... it was only about a 25-30 min drive from our place in EP! Also... they are having dog days on November 3 and 4th for doggie hay rides... sounds like fun!

Haha I totally know what you mean. Usually I put a scarf on for interest as opposed to it's actual function - warmth. Way to sneak in that fanny pack comment too :) Love this outfit!

Oh yes - the good old fanny pack. Need we recall those? hahahaha. Yes we found a tremendous lake and we are so glad we did.
