My Little Toto

Dress (Taylor find at Marshalls); Shirt (Old Navy); Tights (Target);
Boots (Guess find at Marshalls)

Rex is certainly not as tough as he thinks he is... and certainly not as tough as Toto.  Given my country girl meets Dorothy look, I thought some of Toto's courage would transfer to Rex (he did help Dorothy beat the wicked witch after all).  Poor Rex can't even face a bridge...  the entire time we were on it, he hunkered down and tried to slither as far away as possible.  So after a few pictures, we called it quits... and Rex will never be the same (yes, I plan on paying for therapy).

And I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge Boston... yet amidst prayers and sadness, it's impossible to make sense of something so senseless. I hope that the good of humanity will rise above the evil of Monday, and that the stories of heroes outnumber the images of tragedy.

things have been tough here in boston, but there are lots of great, heroic stories that the media should be focusing on as well. we've had enough sadness over the past 48 hours...

Rex sounds just like our little Kona who is terrified of everything. She also gets really low to ground and tries to slither away. I got a musical birthday card the other day that is going to cost us years of therapy! :)

I love the Toto and Dorothy look. You guys are so cute!

Aw poor Rex! He does look scared in the pic where you're holding him. Poor thing..I hate it when they're scared of silly things. Copa is petrified of fireworks/thunder & I hate to see her so frightened over something that can't hurt her. Oh well...how many times do we do the same thing?! :-)

You look great - love the boots!

I love your dress! Rex is very cute, even if he is terrified of the bridge (poor baby). Dogs can be scared of the weirdest things, as well as not scared of things that they probably should be. (ie my dog and all the dogs out there that are like fifty pounds heavier and aggressive that she thinks she should be able to take on...) I think fear, in that case, wins the common sense game.

You are so gorgeous–and I can't get over how cute Rex is! True story: my parents came home to me once trying to paint my dog (a puppy at the time) black so she'd be like toto. I was six, not that that makes it OK! Haha ;)

I love gingham...and pink gingham is even better! I love that you paired your shirt with a deep colored dress, it really makes the pink pop! I've yet to try wearing a shirt over a dress (I know I'm so behind the times) but I'm always worried that it'll just look silly on me!
