I don't know why it's taken me so long to break out of the monotony of black trousers. When I got my first office job out of college my outfits were predictable: black dress pants and a top. And on days I'm late or don't have the energy to think (this happens frequently) - I still revert back to that easy formula. It wasn't until a few years ago that I finally bought a pair of dress pants that weren't black... and it was a game changer. There is power in colors - and while this still would have worked with black pants, it's a much more fun look with blue :)

I'm the SAME way! I've slowly branched out with colored skirts, but I have NO fun colored work pants....until this weekend! I bought a pair of magenta cropped pants and I'm excited about them!
Anyway, I LOVE this look on you! Those pants make your legs look miles long, that top is fun with the poofy sleeve and the necklace just pulls it all together. FAB!

Very cute, Heather! I don't know about you, but I can never find really nice dress pants that are other colors than the typical neutrals. I never see bold ones, so I never think to get a pair. But I still love having bright jeans :D Love your fun necklace!
The first pair of colored work pants I bought were actually skinny leopard cropped pants, but I love them! You are right, blue is much more fun!

I revert back to this formula all the time! But I don't even have black pants right now, just my denim looking trousers! I LOVE the blue pants, they are amazing! This makes me want to buy colored pants!
