Helen Ficalora Necklace Charms

I've been a fan of Helen Ficalora for years... She designs some of the most unique, simple, and elegant jewelry.  The necklace charms are my favorite, and are around $50 each. A few Christmases ago, I bought the "S" charm for both myself and my mom (her name is Susan, and so is my middle name).  From the classic letter charms to ones with a heart shape, a breast cancer ribbon, or words of inspiration - these charms are an easy and beautiful way to make a statement.

Love Ring (Etsy.com)

I have fallen in love (pun intended) with these love rings... And with Mother's Day this weekend, what better Friday to feature such a sweet find. I've seen them in department stores, but for the best deal check out Etsy.com - they range anywhere from $15 to $30. Whether the love is for your friends, children, husband, parents, pets, yourself, or you are schmoopy in a relationship - these rings are a cute reminder to let love in :)

Double Duty

Dress (Gap); Jacket & Earrings (H&M); Sunglasses (Target); Boots (Nine West)

I love how something as simple as a pair of sunglasses or earrings can completely transform a look. With the sunglasses I'm rock and roll concert ready.... and with a quick swap of accessories it's time for date night on the town. Who knew a black dress and sequin jacket could pull off double duty so well?

Dogeared necklace & charms (Dogeared Jewelry)

I am a huge fan of Dogeared jewelry, especially their necklaces... they are simple and dainty,  and typically come with a messages like dream, wish, friendship, karma, etc.  I have the gold karma necklace (featured here), but when I saw these little dog bones and paw charms, I thought they were just about the cutest things ever! And if you happen to be a cat lover, they have something for you too :)

Bracelet (Target)

Since I started the week with Target, I thought I'd end the week with Target...  I found this cute bracelet there for only $4!  It's the perfect layering bracelet to add a pop of color or a casual vibe to an outfit.  I picked up the turquoise one, but it was also available in plum and white.  Seriously for $4 each, you can have quite the arm party for a low cover charge!

Successory

Blouse (New York & Company); Vest (H&M); Skirt (JCPenney); Tights (Kohls);
Shoes (Nine West); Belt & Earrings (The Limited); Necklace (consignment shop)

Successory, as defined by In Style magazine, is the appropriate use of accessories.  Without the earrings, necklace, and belt - this outfit would definitely be incomplete.  PS, if you are looking for pencil skirts at killer prices, check out JCPenney.  All of their Worthington brand pencil skirts (in a great variety of colors) are between $20 and $25... I'll take three please!

Heavy Issues

Shirt, Necklace & Tights (The Limited); Skirt (Gap); Shoes (Kohls); Watch (Fossil )

This necklace literally weighs five pounds!  Not only is it heavy, but the stones clang against each other when I walk... which is basically the equivalent of me wearing a cow bell in the office.  This was especially unfortunate since someone put a bag of Hershey's Kisses at a table near my desk - so every one of the seven times I got up to grab one it was quite obvious.  Good thing the printer is also close by... After the third drive by, I took a few extra steps and grabbed a piece of blank paper to try and save face :)

What Goes Around Comes Around

Zorbitz Karma Bracelet (LuckyVitamin.com); Dogeared Karma Necklace (Nordstrom)

I'm a huge believer in Karma... that our actions trigger the cycle of cause and effect. I'm reminded of this when I've acted like a jerk and subsequently trip over my heels, spill coffee on my white pants, and/or lose my hard drive at work... each of which has happened in the not so distant past.  So I like having these cute pieces not only to add to an outfit - but to remind me that what I put out in the world will be coming back.  And to be nice :)
