Uncomplicated

Shirt (StyleMint); Skirt (Limited); Tights (Kohls); Boots (Guess find at Marshalls)
Dave Haas Photography

I could have added a scarf... and maybe should have worn a necklace. It can be so easy to over complicate and over accessorize an outfit...  And after about ten minutes and five variations of this look, I left it alone.  Believe me, my tendency to over think things can be painful at times (my boyfriend would strongly agree).  So this is a pretty simple story: skirt meets shirt, and finds a pair of boots... the end :)

Totally agree! Sometimes the most simple outfit is the best. I think my favorite office outfit from last summer was a simple grey vneck tee with my black pencil skirt and leopard print flats. Seriously, it was so comfortable and looked great! Yay!

I love that it's simple. Bloggers are renowned for their tendency to over accessorize. Sometimes, simple is best!

I saw you commented and wanted to share the love. Thanks for stopping by. I wish I felt like I had style, I try but I know I put more effort into my boys clothes and outfits than my own. That's the life of being a mom, and I'm good with that. :)

I like that you didn't overaccessorize- this looks great. I'm so scared of pattern mixing but you always look great. Ps. I'm sorry wedding week is over. It was way more fun for me too :) I still have 800+ pictures I didn't show, maybe I should just do wedding week for like 3 months!

Nothing wrong with just a skirt and top without the accessories. I feel like I live a double life in photos adding real life. To compensate for something too simple or ordinary in a photo I feel the need to add sthg...and that sthg is always the delay.

Sometimes the simplest outfits are the best - I am often amazed at the compliments I get on something I find so totally plain!

I LOVE your skirt and the shirt with it is fun! And the boots are also awesome, so overall, this is a winner!

Awh, I like! I tend to be more uncomplicated on a regular basis. I feel I need to be a bit more decorative than not. But I would definitely do this ensemble.

And ...you reminded me to get myself to Marshalls, TJMaxx and the like. thank you

Sometimes simple is better! This is really cute. I'm going to have to try plaid and stripes together!
