Adorkable

Dress (Limited); Scarf (H&M); Tights (Kohls); Shoes (Nine West);
Glasses (gifted by Firmoo); Earrings (Nordstrom); Watch (Fossil);
Belkis-Cruz Photography

I've had to wear glasses or contacts since I was in 6th grade... and based on my past (see below and my hopeless 13 year self) the choices available were anything but cute.  But honestly between my glasses, clear braces, and telltale 90's bangs - the glasses were really the least of my problems.  These glasses from Firmoo are so fabulous that I wear them during the hours  of the day when people actually see me (and for less than $40 I should get a pair in every color). For anyone that wants a stylish pair of glasses where fashion meets function and quality, a virtual visit to Firmoo is a must.

PS, was middle school this rough for everyone else?

LOL at your latest post! Honey, I think the early-mid '90's were hard on a lot of us. :-/

Shopping around for a pair of glasses myself right now. How do you like the quality of those Firmoo frames?

Oh my! I feel your pain Heather! Glasses in the 1990s were terrible! I had the clip on sunglasses but tiny oval shapes which did my face no favors. Whoever was designing glasses in the 90s was not very talented :P

Love your glasses today! Great shape :)

Oh my gosh that photo is adorkable! haha I don't wear glasses, but I have a fake pair from Firmoo and like to wear them from time to time to pretend I'm someone else (weird, I know!) PS- love that scarf!

Girl, killing me with that middle school pic!! NO, you are not alone... what an awkward time then and it still is! I will say this much, you were adorable then and are absolutely adorable now! love that pic of you on the porch swing :)

Uhhhh yeah it was this rough, I looked exactly like ugly Betty in the 6th grade. I had those marooon glasses she had on, and also braces. And mine weren't clear, mine were the traditional metal ones, and my hair looked exactly like Betty's...dark frizz it was bad, so you can imagine my reaction when abc first debuted that show, I was convinced that they found my 6th grade yearbook with my photo in there. I mean come one the name bessie vs. Betty? I should get royalties! Lol

Bravoe Runway said...

Oh btw....I had the brilliant idea of begging my mom for a spiral perm.....she tried to talk me out of it but nope had to have it,

Oh man - you and I could have been twins in middle school! I was rocking the same kind of bangs and glasses back then! Oh the 90's!!!

You look fabulous in glasses now. I had Lasik a couple of years ago which was awesome, but I admit sometimes I miss wearing glasses, especially when I want to be kind of adorkable!

Oh and I love your scarf too.

Oh, we wore very similar frames at school! :) Only this version was the best my parents could get for me - the rest or should I say, previous glasses, were UGLY, big time ugly. Not that I really cared, though.
The Firmoo glasses look beautiful on you! Great shape.

Ok I'm seriously in love with your glasses! I had to get glasses in grade 3 which was a total bummer. And then I got braces and the whole nerdy package just came together lol. I loved your sweet picture; isn't it funny looking back at the person you used to be? I always feel like so much has changed and how strange it is to think that at that age I had no idea what my life would truly be like today.

Your middle school photo looks eerily like mine - although I think my hair was actually puffier, and my braces were definitely coloured :S I've had to wear glasses since fifth grade and haven't been able to wear contacts for almost two years, and I still can't get used to it - and least now there are lots of cute glasses out there, unlike when we were younger!
