Comfortable

Dress (Kohls); Sweater (Banana Republic Outlet); Tights (Target); Shoes (Naturalizer);
Necklace (Consignment Shop); Sunglasses (Charming Charlie)
Nicole Lai Photography

I love a good pencil skirt or fun belt to cinch in a dress... but sometimes I just want to be comfortable.  I removed the belt that came with this dress and to add definition I added this cropped sweater. All day long it felt like I was walking around in my pajamas - and it was awesome.  In other news, apparently Rex is getting too comfortable... got word from the vet the other day that he is about a pound overweight (which is significant when you are all of 8 pounds total.  So it's a strict regime of exercise and diet for this pooch (I hope Rex's grandparents are reading this... that means no people food!).  Given his sad eyes in this picture, I think someone is sensitive about his weight ;)

Awww...Rex!!! What a cutie (and I'll give you some treats little Rexie poo) :-)

I agree...sometimes (well most often) I just like to be cozy. I like how you added shape with the sweater. Great idea.

I could not agree more. I typically live in pencil skirts, but some days I just need a flowy top or dress!

And awww, poor puppy, haha. It's funny how 1 pound matters so much for a small dog, but for us 1 pound is nothing

Aw, poor Rex!

That dress is super cute. I often take the belt on a dress off because it doesn't seem to quite work. I think you made a great choice with the sweater.

That dress is adorable! I love the colors. Rex does look a bit chunkier... but I still think he's cute! And who doesn't love chubby pups!

I totally get this, sometimes you do just need to dress for comfort! I like the dress without the belt and I think the sweater does help add definition.

Poor Rex! He's still cute as can be even if he is a little overweight!

I LOVE the print of the dress! So pretty! Oh poor Rex! LOL. I'm pretty sure Emma is now overweight too. She just looks a little chubby, but anytime I say that to her she gets upset. I guess it is my fault for not walking her during the winter. I just can't ;) I assumed fetch for 2 hours a night was good enough :-p

And yes... it seems the grandparents like to feed our furry friends lots of people food. She does not need a pound of pot roast on top of her meal ;)

How cute is Rex?! I have two completely spoiled rat terriers, who are only further spoiled by their grandparents, too! My dad literally has them eating out of the palm of his hand- oy! I feel your puppy pain. :)

I love that you added a cropped cardigan...its a perfect sub for a belt. And poor Rex. Our boy has to be on weight management food but I still give him too many treats. But I swear when we joke in front of him about his extra weight, he seems to skip breakfast or dinner that next day. It's like he knows... :)

What a fun print on the dress! 6inches of snow???? Urg. We had sleet today but luckily it didn't stick. As for a doggy diet, people food is killer! We switched our beagle to Science diet and now she gets Carlos for treats instead of doggy treats, that helps with calories too
