I'm a skeptic of those so called "cold busters" - like airborne or Emergen-C... you are supposed to take them when you feel a cold coming on and it's supposed to prevent it from developing any further. I caved and got a box of Emergen-C after feeling the dreaded pre-cold scratchy throat the other day. Admittedly, I didn't get a full blown cold... Although I'm pretty certain that my bright yellow scarf is also chock full of vitamin C. And there's no evidence to suggest otherwise ;)

I used to be a skeptic too but airborne really does work! I love the yellow scarf!
I love the bright scarf! So cheery! I used to be similarly skeptical of cold remedies, but Emergen-C has helped me a time or two!

My husband and my dad both swear by Airborne, but I don't know. I have a hard choking that stuff down, it's as bad as McDonald's orange drink from school parties when I was a kid!

Yes that bright scarf is the perfect antidote for fall sniffles! I take Airborne when I feel a cold coming on, and sometimes I swear it works, but other times it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

As a nutritionist (which I am by day) I'd suggest taking extra 500-1000mg good quality vitamin C on a daily basis (plus your regular multi containing zinc) and in case of a cold, you can increase vit C to 3000mg taken at equal intervals during a day (start with 2000mg, then add an extra one)
You can also try drinking ginger tea with raw honey and adding garlic and turmeric to everything.
