Behind the Curtain

Sweater (Loft); Skirt (Limited); Tights (Target); Necklace (Etsy); Shoes (Naturalizer)
Ryan Seidel Photography

Do you ever feel that if anyone got a chance to look behind curtain, you'd be exposed just like the "great and powerful" Wizard of Oz? Let me explain... my tights are basically 4 inches above my belly button (which is in no way right or comfortable), my necklace is being held together with a safety pin, and the soles of my heels are starting to separate at the toe - which causes me to literally trip over my feet when I walk. And so days like this I need a little extra time and effort in the morning to piece myself together... So pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain -  it may surprise you :)

Pretty isn't what you wear, it's who you are.

In either case, you got it going on!

Oh me! Oh my! That collar necklace is perfection! I really do love these pretty detachable collars, they are much more versatile than just one sparkly collared shirt :)

Helene said...

that's so funny since you look so perfectly put together!! I love it, especially the necklace and pop of blue.

BUt I guess we all have something "behind the curtain" :)

Bravoe Runway said...

Lol I took a photo in a similar outfit you'll see next week!! My skirt is pink but very similar idea. I also had to pin my necklace to keep it on place, i hate hosiery! The best discovery I found was from leggs waistband free...well they discontinued it and I almost died when I found that out!

Catherine said...

Bahaha I love it!! I swear my tights are the same! (Tights? Girdle? Not really sure which) I love that necklace so much - it really adds a punch to the outfit.

You provide the very best inspiration for what to wear to the office. I LOVE this cobalt blue skirt! And the necklace, too - even if it is being held together by a safety pin :).

Ha, ha, you'll be surprised with my 'little secrets'! I've surely done the pin for necklaces, the super-high-waist tights and soles falling apart that I just notice when I get caught up under the rain by surprise! But you look lovely in this outfit, I really like that surprising back from your sweater and that super cute necklace!

Heh, I'd always rather have my tights riding super high than super low. :P It is funny how that goes, how we dress up to put forth a "look." I do love how you threw this blue skirt into the monochromatic look, it brights up the gray and looks really pretty.

And you hold it together so well! Impressive, to say the least :) Love the color of that skirt, and the necklace is darling! I just bought a similar one, and can't wait to wear it!

Haha, I know exactly how you feel today! I am also wearing tights and a pencil skirt and it turns out my tights are way too small, so they are pinching in all the wrong places, and my skirt is really difficult to walk in. Buuuut, I like the way my outfit looks! And I love the way yours looks as well!

P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
