Team USA

Dress worn as shirt (Jason Wu for Target); Skirt (gifted by eShakti);
Shoes (Nine West); Earrings (Nordstrom); Necklace (Gift);

My all-time favorite Summer Olympic memory is from the 1996 games in Atlanta with Kerri Strug's infamous gold medal clinching vault.  After a fall on her first attempt and a taped up ankle, Kerri nailed her second vault and landed on one foot... It was the type of magic that can only happen at the Olympics. To me, the image of coach Bella Karolyi carrying Kerri with her gold medal is the ultimate demonstration of the Olympic spirit.  This moment still gives me chills... Do you have a favorite Olympic memory?

This outfit is darling! And so is the beautiful location that you took them. I love the American-inspired colors. I haven't watched the Olympics too closely these past few rounds, but it is always such an amazing event. Don't think I could chose just a single moment. :)

Great outfit! I love that skirt on you, it looks so perfect and the color is amazing and so rich! My favorite Olympic memory is definitely the Kerri Strug vault too - I have always loved watching Olympic gymnastics and that moment when she did the second vault even though you could tell she was limping on her ankle... ahh, it's just so intense!

I love this outfit Heather! It def has the inspiration from Ralph's uniform he designed for Team USA at the opening ceremony! I'd kill for one of those blazers! Oh do we go way back...just like you I remember that vault done by Kerri Strug and after her first fall...we could hear Bela Karolyi..."you can do it...you can do it Kerri." So much pressure on such a young lady at the time in so much pain!

That's probably my favorite too! That Olympics really stands out because we lived two hours away from Atlanta and our city has a huge lake, so we had many international visitors, especially rowing teams because it was perfect for practice. I remember getting up early in the morning and sitting on my pier to watch them rowing. Too awesome!

And this outfit? Perfection! I love how you repurposed the dress and paired it with that awesome full skirt!

I'm pretty sure that's my favorite memory as well! The Magnificent 7 will always be the Olympics most remembered by me because I think everyone thought that vault was impossible and it somehow happened!! I can't wait to see how the girls do tonight! ;)
