Reviving a Classic

Dress (Loft); Shirt (Target); Shoes (Tahari find at Marshalls) ; Watch (Fossil);
Earrings (Nordstrom)
Ryan Seidel Photography

I love this dress. It's flowy, romantic, and satin... the perfect little red dress.  However it's also sleeveless with a deep V-neck, which instantly eliminates it's office appropriateness.  Typically this dress gets worn maybe once a year.  Adding a button down and tying it was the perfect solution to getting this dress some much needed fresh air.  After tying it - the look was still a bit undone, so I tucked the loose ends.  And now my little red dress has a new lease on life, and we're taking full advantage :)

Tucking it in a little bit definitely made it work! It's funny how sometimes such tiny little details like that can make your outfit feel a bit more complete, isn't it? :) Oh, silly fashion.

I Love how you styled this dress for the office, and you didn't use a blazer! And it's nice that you can get more wear out of it!

once upon a time I had those exact clothes, but not the shoes and I wouldn't have in a million years thought of wearing them together. But, I love them on you!! It looks so nice all together, especially with the shoes.

Thanks for you comment, too! Heather, have a good day, k?

Gotta love the transformation of a dress into something office appropriate! What a great idea! I would have never thought it was a dress :) SO CUTE and those shoes, I seriously want to steal them every time I see them... ;) And no worries about this weekend, I actually had a lot of laundry to catch up on and I'm just starting to feel back on track at home after getting the little one :) I know Emma is excited to make a new friend!
