Doctor's Orders

Cardigan (Macy's); Tank (Calvin Klein find at TJMaxx); Skirt (Gap);
Shoes (Target); Necklace (Consignment Shop); Ryan Seidel Photography

It was bound to happen. I got my first official Zumba injury. Too much shaking, too many hip thrusts, and way too much gyrating.  It was all fun and games until I threw my back out. I was under strict instructions from both my boyfriend and mom to take ibuprofen, use a heating pad, refrain from zumba, and wear flats.  After a few days of hobbling in heels, I caved - and spent the following days a few inches shorter.  So here is my proof of flats (see Mom?)  And slowly but surely, the ability to awkwardly gyrate is coming back :)

If you are forced into wearing flats I think leopard print is definitely the way to go! Hope your back is feeling better and you get to gyrate sooner rather than later :)

Awww, sorry to hear about that, Heather, but the good thing is that you get an excuse to break your flats! Hope you get well soon, dear, and rock your stilettos again!

Get well soon and you can rock those sky high heels. :-)

I can so relate, I hurt my back last week moving furniture and now no core fusion for me...but I did manage to wear platforms over the weekend. Hoping you are back to Zumba very soon!

I am so dying to do some zumba...I need a way to exercise that I enjoy, and dancing like crazy definitely qualifies. I've gained almost 10 lbs since I got married a year ago :D Sorry you got hurt though...that is really a bummer and I hope you feel better soon! Love your maxi skirt with the long tunic, really a fun combination and makes you look tall and gorgeous. Fun cheetah shoes too!

So sorry to hear about the injury, but if that means rocking those adorable flats for a few more days, maybe it isn't all bad. They are so cute! This entire outfit it. Love the simple maxi skirt and printed top. These photos are beautiful!
