Here was my St.Patrick's Day... Tom and I were driving back from another weekend in Wisconsin, and 2 hours into the trip my Dad sends me a picture message of my keys.  Yup, left my keys at my parent's place. I figured, no big deal - just mail them to me this week and I'll be fine as I have a spare car key and Tom has keys to my condo.  Well, we get to my place and I can't get my garage door open.  The code on the door isn't working and since the garage is detached, there is no way of getting inside without the door opener (which of course is attached to my keys).  Oh and by the way mailing the keys to me won't work since my mail key is inside my car, which is inside the garage I can't get into.  Not to mention I have a flight to Ohio on Tuesday afternoon for a work trip - so sorta need my car before then. Thank you to my parents who went Kinkos to overnight the keys - which I will get on Tuesday morning.

So while I didn't have any green beer yesterday, I did have a stiff rum and Coke after all of this!

Geez, that is the worst! I am super forgetful about my keys- in fact, just last week, I accidentally locked myself out of the car and house when I locked my keys in my running car. Not my brightest moment at all.

Karen Curtis said...

I thought this was a blouse at first and I loved it. I now see it is a cardi and I love it even more. Slim fitting cardigans are so great b/c they can double as a shirt. The mix with leather is perfectly work appropriate! Have a great day!

Oh no!! This is all too familiar--I left my dorm room keys at home (which is only an hour away, which isn't as bad) so I know the feeling. I'm glad that your amazing parents were able to overnight the keys for you. Best of luck!

On the bright side, you're looking super lovely. I love that you paired a floral top against leather like that. Good contrast!

Alyssa said...

Oh my goodness...THE WORST! You poor thing :( I forgot my keys at my office once when my roommate was out of town. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.

Yikes! That sounds like something I would have done. I'm glad that you'll have your keys back by tomorrow at least! A stiff rum and Coke sounds like it was needed after all of that!

You look fabulous in your outfit as always!

Oh my gosh that is terrible! thank goodness your parents could overnight them. I would've had to pull a break and enter trick into my own house, haha.

Great looking cardigan! I love the bright colors. I have actually have a similar story where one friend stole another friend's keys then went on vacation in another state.

Thanks for the colored blazer idea! I don't think I can do that in the summer but I'll keep it in mind for next fall.

Oh, I would have been soooooo annoyed and this is totally something I would have done. I hope you get your keys promptly tomorrow morning and everything will be ok. As for your outfit, I really like the combo of floral and leather. The softness of the floral with the hard edge of the leather is really cool!
