A Pencil & Dots

Sweater (Old Navy); Skirt (Limited); Shoes (Nine West);
Nicole Lai Photography

Its has become clear that I don't have enough polka dots in my life.  Admittedly they typically remind me of either a clown's bow tie or a 5 year old girl's birthday dress.  But polka dots have grown up and I'm falling in love with this pattern all over again. Not to mention that Polka is the Polish word for “Polish woman”. And so through polka dots I can honor my Polish roots... Grandma would be so proud :)

Hehe I realized that I totally have an unhealthy obsession with polka dots! But seriously, they have always been my favorite pattern, but haven't always been around. I'm so glad they are everywhere now. And you're reminding me that I need to stop by old navy and check out what's in store :P Love the sweater!

I spotted a pair of navy blue and white polka dot heels the other day that made me thing of you. They had the loveliest red bows on the toes and looked so fun....and very un-twee.

Really??? I didn't know that.

To anyone who thinks polka dots are juvenile, make them black and Oreo size and put them on a sophisticated tan sweater.

Those shoes are perfect. I notice they are a classic shape and the heel height it not outrageous. I shouldn't have been surprised when I read that they're Nine West! I'm always drawn to Nine West shoes! :)
